1. What exactly is a virtual or shoreside purser, and how does it differ from a yacht management company?
We act as your remote/admin purser-desk: handling crew logistics, financial admin, port clearances, provisioning coordination, guest itineraries if needed. We’re not a full yacht management company (that handles safety systems, full operations, technical matters). We bridge the shore-side support gap and let onboard crew focus on their core duties.
2. Which yachts and types of operations do you support?
We're not sizist around here! We support all superyachts of various sizes, private and charter. Whether you already have someone onboard handling purser/admin duty or not, we can plug in and provide support.
3. Can you support a yacht that already has a purser, or an onboard purser who already has a team?
Yes, many onboard pursers seek supplemental support for busy peaks, and/or asks outside their bandwidth. We can integrate with your systems and take defined tasks so onboard time is freed up.
4. How do you handle financial cash administration, especially if you’re not physically onboard?
Onboard cash remains onboard as physical. We handle the reconciliation, bookkeeping, receipt scanning, reporting and ensure totals match what is happening onboard and with your accounting.
5. How does engagement work; are we signing a long contract or can you assist ad-hoc?
We offer both long-term and short-term/consultancy-based support depending on your requirements. You can engage us for specific projects or ongoing purser desk services.
6. How quickly can you start supporting us, and what’s required from our side?
Our onboarding timeline depends on how quickly we receive essential information, depending on the required task. Once we have that, we can commence support promptly.
7. How do you ensure our yacht’s information is kept secure?
We use encrypted communications, secure systems, and strict access controls to protect your yacht’s operational and financial information. Everything is stored within dedicated, password-protected environments, and we can also work within your preferred platforms.
8. How do you keep each yacht’s admin separate?
Each yacht receives its own dedicated digital workspace and communication channels. Crew records, financials, and documentation are siloed by default, ensuring no crossover between vessels and maintaining absolute clarity and confidentiality.
9. Do you sign NDAs or confidentiality agreements?
Yes, we’re happy to sign NDAs or work within your existing confidentiality framework. Discretion is a core part of what we do, and we treat all yacht information with the highest level of professionalism and privacy.
10. How do we monitor the work you’re doing and remain in control?
We’ll schedule check-ins as often as you like and ensure you maintain oversight and full transparency. You’ll receive regular task updates or status reports, clear financial and crew-admin information, and shared access to any documents or records you’d like to review. Whether you prefer daily or weekly communication, you’ll always know what’s been completed, what’s in progress, and what requires approval, so you remain fully in control at every step.
